Let your guide
pick you up at your hotel before you all embark on this city sightseeing tour.
Get closer to the beauty of the colonial architecture, the Yangon River and a
thriving downtown scene. As you travel through this urban landscape on your
comfortable air-conditioned vehicle, you’ll be provided with some history of
the parks, temples and unique buildings as well as the culture and traditions
of nearly 5 million local people.
We’ll then have
a stop at a local teashop, where you can sample a cup (own expense) before
paying a visit to the Sule Pagoda, a traditional Burmese stupa downtown. After
that you’ll have some time to wander around the harbour and local markets and
then relax at Strand Hotel with a complimentary drink. Later on, visit the famous
reclining Buddha (Chauk Htat Gyi), then savour a traditional lunch with your
fellows.
Spend about half
an hour on a local railway once used monks, locals and vendors. Before
departing to explore one of the city’s largest selections of Burmese
handicrafts, your guide will provide some information about the Bogyoke Aung
San Market.
