Visit Mingun, a town in Sagaing Region, located 11 km upwest the Ayeyarwady River from Mandalay. Its main attraction is the ruin Mingun Pahtodawgyi. The beautiful white Hsinbyume or Myatheindan Pagoda with its distinctive architectural style lies just a couple of hundred yards from the great stupa and bell.
In the morning you’ll be picked up at the door of
your hotel in Mandalay and transferred to Mingun by boat.
About 11km upriver from Mandalay, on the opposite
bank of the Ayeyarwaddy River iswhere you can witness
the largest ringing bell in the world. The trip is just
long enough to give you a pleasant feel of the river. Then, visit Mya Theindan
Pagoda nearby Mingun bell. And lastly the Pahtotawgyi, unfinished structure of
its famous world largest brick based Pagoda.
After that you
will be transferred back to Mandalay for a lunch then visit Mahamuni pagoda. At
the end of the tour you’ll be
transferred back to your hotel.
