In the morning, you will be picked up at your hotel around 8:30AM before proceeding to the well-known Buddha Park located 25 km from Vientiane city centre. Here you’ll have some time to contemplate the enormous monument with different floors symbolising for Hell, Underworld, and Heaven. Unusually, not all the statues convey static meditation and peace, so pay attention to each with different emotion and facial expression.
Then, we’ll head back to Vientiane City for sightseeing after enjoying lunch and taking a short break. On arrival, we’ll visit the Patuxay, a renowned monument and also one of the most prominent landmarks of the city. The monument was built in 1957 inspired by the architecture of Triomphe in Paris and combined with typical Lao motifs. From the top of the monument, you can witness an excellent panoramic view of the city.
Afterwards, you’ll walk to the end of Lane Xang Street to visit the symbol of Laos: That Luang. Finally, visit the Vat Sisaket, which is famous not only for its impressive vintage architecture and layout from 1818 but also for its cloister wall storing thousands of tiny Buddha images.
As the tour ends, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel.
