After arriving in Laos, you will transfer to your hotel for check in, and enjoy the rest of the day on your own terms. Overnight in Vientiane.

Day 2
- Vientiane city tour
In the morning we have breakfast before our tour of the capital city of Vientiane and see the oldest Buddhist monastery in Laos, Wat Si Saket, and the old royal temple of Haw Pha Kaeo, the Pha That Luang monument, and the Buddha Park, full to the brim with Hindu and Buddhist art. We will stop by the COPE Centre, which works with survivors of mines and bomb blasts. Enjoy a sunset dinner along the Mekong River. Overnight in Vientiane.

Day 3
- Visit Thalat Market of hill tribe traders, the 1000 year old archaeological site of Van Xang
Take an early journey out of the capital and into the countryside of Vang Vieng, knowns for its salt production and whiskey distillery. We will then pass through the Thalat Market of hill tribe traders, on our way to the 1000 year old archaeological site of Van Xang. Next we arrive at our picturesque hotel along the Nam Song river. The afternoon provides ample free time for bike riding as well as water activities on the river.

Day 4
- Tham Jang Cave, Ban Huai Ngai Village
Today we explore the caves of Tham Jang and the small village of Ban Huai Ngai, before continuing on to Luang Prabang for the night.

Day 5
- Temples of Luang Prabang
Luang Prabang is a spiritual place and if you wake up early you can witness the monks chanting in the streets as they complete their morning ritual of collecting alms from the locals. We later visit the ancient temples of Wat Visoun and Aham, a local weave shop and the former Royal Palace in all it’s artistic splendor. After lunch, venture to an ethnic village on our way to the peaceful Khouangsi Waterfall.

Day 6
- Pak Ou Caves
Making our way back into the countryside we learn about rice farming and then enjoy a lunchtime cruise on the Mekong, visiting the local Pak Ou caves famous for the buddhist artistry within. We then continue on to Ban Xanghai to sip on fresh rice wine before returning to Luang Prabang for our flight to Hanoi.

Day 8
- Halong Bay
In the morning we will take a scenic drive to the world famous Halong Bay, where we will board our wooden boat for a cruise in the jade green waters. We journey on to the recently opened Tien Ong Cave, full of impressive stalagmites and stalactites. In the evening, sit back and enjoy a cooking demonstration aboard our vessel and savor fresh seafood with the sunset. Overnight on Cruise in Ha Long Bay

Day 9
- Floating villages and cyclo rides
Enjoy an early morning Tai Chi class on the deck or a relaxing massage. We will reserve time mid-morning for kayaking through the famous Floating Fishing Village of Cua Van. Witness the traditional floating wooden houses and local people who make their lives here. We’ll arrive in Hanoi later in the afternoon to explore the ‘36 streets of the old quarter’ chock-full of generations old tailor shops and silversmiths. Observe the narrow front houses of the old quarter and dine on the local favorites abound in the streets. In the evening we board the 4 berth sleeper cabin on the Reunification Express in route to Hue. You can also opt to fly.

Day 10
- Imperial Hue
Upon our arrival into Hue, we will begin our guided tour of the Imperial Nguyen capital. The Thien Mu Pagoda is the oldest monastery in town and it’s high tower is a symbol of the city. The citadel itself houses the Imperial Purple Palace, which is an exact copy of Beijing's Forbidden City. Outside of Hue are tombs of the Nguyen Kings, who sleep soundly in their ornate mausoleums. Enjoy the sunset aboard a longboat on the Perfume River.

Day 11
- Tra Que village
Heading out of the city, we venture into the farming town of Tra Que, where you will have the opportunity to help with gardening and cooking a fresh lunch. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 12
- Road of the Ocean Clouds
The next morning we head south through the Hai Van Pass (Road of the Ocean Clouds), which has magnificent views of the sea to the east and cliffs to the west. Just before reaching Hoi An we walk along Danang Beach and visit Marble Mountain with it’s decorated caves and passageways. Within Hoi An, enjoy a short walking tour through stone streets with trade shops along the way.

Day 13
- Hoi An - Free& Easy
Today is a free day to relax or explore. You might like to hire a rowboat on the river or perhaps sip coconuts on the beach. If you want to see some more culture parts of the area you can choose to have an excursion to nearby My Son, the see the site of the My Lai Massacre which occurred during the Vietnam War. Overnight in Hoi An

Day 14
- Mekong Delta
In the morning we will catch a flight to Saigon and then we’re off in a bus to the Mekong Delta. This is Vietnam’s rice and fruit growing region and is vastly different in landscape from the other parts of the country. We will go by small river boat to Cai Be, and visit the coconut candy producers where you will have a chance to taste the different flavors of freshly made coconut candy. Lunch is served under a wooden canopy on Dong Hoa Hiep Island. Overnight in Can Tho.

Day 15
- Cai Rang Floating Market
We set off early to the bustling Cai Rang floating market where locals trade in food and other goods by boat. Afterwards we head by speed boat back to the sprawling metropolis of Saigon. Here the new world meets the old as metal skyscrapers jut out of the landscape just at the edge of the Mekong Delta. The city is home to sharp contrasts in food and culture from five star restaurants to street food vendors, designer shops to bargains in the marketplace. We tour the Notre Dame Cathedral and its neighboring Old Post office, later heading to the War Remnants Museum for a step back in time.

Day 16
- Cu Chi Tunnels & Phnom Penh
The morning is dedicated to a trip to the Cu Chi Tunnels. These passageways were designed and used by the northern Vietnam guerilla fighters during the war, and you will see the remains of old trap doors and booby traps along the way. After our excursion we drive to Phnom Penh, the heart of the ancient kingdom in Indochina.

Day 17
- Royal Palace, Toul Sleng ( Phnom Penh )
We’ll start in the morning with our day or sightseeing in the Khmer capital. The first stop is the national museum of Fine Arts, which contains the countries premier collection of local art. Next is the Royal Palace tour and Silver Pagoda which is lined with real silver floors and diamond encrusted Buddhist statues. Towards the end of the day we visit the infamous killing fields, and witness a reminder of the Khmer Rouge of not so long ago.

Day 18
- Angkor National Museum & Angkor Wat
Time to fly to Siem Reap and enjoy Southeast Asia’s largest and most famous temple complex of Angkor Wat and its accompanying Angkor National Museum. You will have plenty of time to explore and take pictures of this magnificent work of human engineering.

Day 19
- Angkor Thom & NGO circus project
If you wish you may return for a sunrise viewing of the temple complex before we drive to a butterfly sanctuary in preak Dak and a nearby tree planting initiative. We return later in the day to explore the old capital city of Angkor Thom and it’s famous Bayon temple, among other sites. In the evening we will attend the Phare Cambodian Circus, which trains street children to work as circus artists.

Day 20
- Tonle Sap Lake
In the morning we venture onward to Kampong Phluk and it’s villages with stilt houses. Seasonal rains make stilts necessary for life in this region. We will boat back to Siem Reap for more free time and shopping in Pub Street.
Note: Between Feb - July the water levels at Kompong Phluk village maybe too low to go boating, if so, we will visit Chong Kneas floating village where it will still be possible to go boating. Afternoon and evening at leisure.

Day 21
- Siem Reap
Now with our trip coming to a close we will take time to relax at the hotel before our checkout and scheduled departures.
