This morning, a journey to Tamarind Cafe to take part in cooking real Lao cuisine. We will take a tuk-tuk to Phou Sy market to buy our ingredients for the cooking class. The chef will share his knowledge on local ingredients before travelling to the lakeside classroom outside of town where we will learn to prepare some local favourites such as khao niauw (sticky rice), oh paedek (soup with ground pork) and laarb kai (spicy Laotian chicken salad).Afterwards, we will enjoy our creations.
This afternoon we’ll visit the beautiful Wat Xieng Thong Temple, famed for its intricate mosaics and painted figurines. Our last stop today is the National Museum, before we make our way up PhouSy Mountain to enjoy a fantastic sunset view of Luang Prabang and the Nam Kan River joining the Mekong River.
This evening is at your leisure, or enjoy a Ramayana dance show (optional), one of the best traditional dances in Laos. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
