Location in the north of island, the National park is called as “the lung of Mekong Delta” because of its vast ecosystem and endless green space. Take a deep break here and do some yoga. Why not?. But you should remember to keep all the safety precautions.
You also can go far away to expose yourself in the wild life, to meet some cute little monkeys on roads and share with them some food. Sound’s good!
Make a short stop at Tranh waterfall and heard about roundelay. You can swim there to be immersive your self in the heart of jungle.
Go trekking to the coconut prison – Historical site:
This prison was built in 1949 by French colonists to imprison 40,000 Vietnamese soldiers and political figures who have opposed both French and American forces. It was equipped several barbaric racks. It is one of the historical witnesses, attracting mostly former prisoners and foreign visitors looking to learn more about Vietnam’s history.

Pay a visit to Ho Quoc Pagoda:
Situated roughly in a beautiful high between the sea and the mountain side, Ho Quoc pagoda is impressed by its beautiful scenery and cool climate, where daily should attract a lot of tourists and monks, Buddhists to visit and Buddhist ceremonies. This is the best place to take a whole view of island and enjoy the gorgeous sunrise.
Enjoy fresh seafood on island:
You could easily find cheap and fresh seafood on Phu Quoc island. Waking up in the early morning and grab your chance to hunt you favorite seafood snails in the Duong Dong market, the biggest one on Phu Quoc island. The fisherman usually bring their product to trade before returning to their boats, so seafood there is definitely fresh and very cheap.
Get to Phu Quoc:
Depart from Ho Chi Minh city, you could take a sleeping bus, airplane or ferry to reach Phu Quoc island:
- Airplane: This is the best way to come to Phu Quoc. Some airlines operate a directly flight to Phu Quoc airport. You could choose to fly with Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, or Jetstar Pacific
- Sleeping bus: It takes you 8-9 hours to get to Rach Gia or Ha Tien. The price is around 150,000 VND (6.8 USD) for a one-way ticket to Rach Gia and 180,000 VND (8.2 USD) for a ticket to Ha Tien.
